We offer two different approaches to dance classes, one is based in expression and improvisation and the other builds technical skill and body awareness. Both classes will start as 1:1 instruction, if students are interested in a group class they will be placed in a class with one or more students with similar goals.
Contemporary + Improvisation
In this class, students are encouraged to move freely and improvise as they interpret the music. They will be guided through a variety of exercises to get them more familiar with their range of motion, and different textures they can add to their movement. If the student wishes, they can learn choreography in this class, or just stick to improv.
